HE LOVES YOU.
Adam adores Emily. Emily thinks Adam is perfect. The man she thought she’d never meet.
BUT SHE LOVES YOU NOT.
Lurking in the shadows is a rival, a woman who shares a deep bond with the man Emily loves.
AND SHE’LL STOP AT NOTHING.
Emily chose Adam, but she didn’t choose his mother, Pammie. There’s nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her son, and now Emily is about to find out just how far Pammie will go to get what she wants: Emily gone forever.
I couldn’t wait to dive in to this psychological thriller. Upon starting the book, I was drawn to Emily. Within the first few pages, she finds the love of her life, Adam. In her eyes, he’s perfect. However, Emily quickly finds out that his mother, Pammie, isn’t so perfect. I quickly became concerned for Emily, as Pammie’s behavior towards her was less than desirable. It was frustrating to me as a reader that she allowed herself to be treated in such a manner by her future mother-in-law. There were SO many red flags that she let slide. I guess when you’re planning to marry the perfect man, you also marry his not-so-perfect family. BEWARE OF PAMMIE! I look forward to reading more of Sandie Jones books in the future.
I want to thank St. Martin’s Press for sending me an ARC copy of Sandie Jones’s debut novel, “The Other Woman”.
